Register for Zumba, LEGO Robotics, Soccer, and More
The Cary Park District offers hundreds of ways you and your family can laugh, play, grow, create, and explore together.

Zumba Kids Black Light Party
Zumba Kids is the ultimate cultural dance-fitness party for young Zumba fans where they can play it loud and rock it with friends to their own rules! This program features age-appropriate music and moves that get kids movin’ to the beat. Join us in this Black Light Zumba Party and be sure to wear neon or white! This party is for children ages 5 – 8 years and is held on Friday, September 18 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $9 (n/r $13).
Try Baton Twirling
Learn the basics of baton twirling with dance mixed in. Classes include 1 baton, rhythmic ribbon, dance twirl, and marching routine. Students will perform for their parents on the last day of class. Please bring a baton or batons will be available for purchase from the instructor. This class is for persons 6 – 18 years old and meets on Thursdays, September 17 – October 22 from 6:45 – 7:30 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $60 (n/r $90).
Junior Aerospace Engineering
During this class our youngest junior engineers are introduced to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct airplanes, rockets, hot air balloons, and more. This class is for children ages 4 – 6 years and meets on Tuesdays, September 15 – October 20 from 4:15 – 5:45 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $150 (n/r $225).

LEGO Robotics: Robo Battles
This Robotics: Robo Battles curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building, but also programming basic robots. Throughout this course the students will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in various battle challenges. This class is for children and teens age 7 – 14 years and meets on Tuesdays, September 15 – October 20 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $150 (n/r $225).
The Parent Feed Seminar
The focus of this seminar is on making parents aware of the trends in their child’s age group, how the Internet is being used for both good and bad, and how what happens online in the present can negatively affect the future. This seminar is held on Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $24 (n/r $36).

Mighty Kickers
Introduce your child to the sport of soccer. Children will run, kick, and learn the game. This fun program will allow your child to release energy, make friends, and keep moving. Players will be placed on a team prior to the first practice. Players must bring shin guards. Mighty Kickers is for children ages 3 – 5 years and meets on Saturdays, September 19 – October 17 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at Lions Park Soccer Fields. Register by September 9 and receive the early bird rate of $49 (n/r $74). Beginning September 10, the fees return to the regular rate of $59 (n/r $89).
Preschool Smarties & Lunch
Your child will become a “smartie” while preparing for preschool. This is a great way for children to socialize and learn manner. Each day will begin with children enjoying a sack lunch and drink brought from home with his or her friends. After lunch we will continue with learning letters and number, circle time, and building friendships. This class is for children ages 3 – 5 years and meets on Mondays, September 21 – October 19 from 11:05 am – 12:15 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $39 (n/r $58).
Toddlers Next Step
Take the next step with your toddler as this program focuses on small group interaction and individual play. An ongoing theme will introduce simple preschool skills. Enjoy songs, games, stories, and puppets. Broaden your child’s social skills with this exciting program! This class is for children ages 20 – 32 months with parent and meets on Friday, September 18 – October 23 from 10:15 – 11:00 am at the Community Center. Registration is $45 (n/r $68).
