Trinity Oaks Lego Team Goes to State!

Impressive work by Trinity Oaks Huskies #8520 who tied for 13th place out of 64 teams at this year's FIRST Lego State Competition!

In December, Trinity Oaks Huskies #8520 competed at the Crystal Lake regional FIRST Lego League competition earning them #1 in Core Values and qualifying them to compete at the state level on January 16th at Elgin Community College. Since the beginning of the school year, this team has been designing, building, and programming a robot using Lego MINDSTORMS. The autonomous robot performs task on a universal table-top playing field such demolishing a Lego tower, placing a Lego engine in a Lego car, or removing items from the field. Points are awarded for each task accomplished students are judged on the robot design, teamwork, and project.

Looks like months of hard work, dedication, and gracious professionalism paid off and much accomplished
as the Trinity Oaks Huskies Senior Lego team #8520 tied for 13th place out of 64 teams at state! Congratulations Huskies!

(FIRST Lego League encourages students to develop their critical-thinking skills and teamwork along with cultivating an interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
