Village of Lakewood Asks Residents to Limit Water Use

Village automated call asks residents to limit water use for next 24 hours as sewer mains are operating at capacity.

The Village of Lakewood is asking its residents to limit water use due to the heavy rains.

Using a village automated telephone call, Lakewood officials on Thursdsay asked residents to voluntarily limit water use for such tasks as laundry and dishwashing for the next 24 hours.

"Our sewer mains are currently operating at capacity and limiting the amount of water sent into the sewer mains will help increase capacity and minimize any damage from sewer back-ups," the call informed homeowners.
