Woman Suing Walmart After She Slipped on Floor Mat, Fell at Store
The incident occurred at the Johnsburg Walmart in January 2014.
A McHenry County woman has sued Walmart after she alleges she fell on a temporary floor mat at a store in Johnsburg and fell, tearing her rotator cuff and detaching a bicep, the Cook County Record reports.
The incident happened on Jan. 10, 2014 and the lawsuit was filed in Cook County Court on Aug. 10, according to the article. She claims Walmart failed to properly secure the mat and is seeking damages in excess of $100,000.
