11-Year-Old Arrested For Retail Theft: Darien Blotter
Darien Police reports through Sept. 11.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
DUI
- Luke Kern, 19, Woodridge, was arrested Sept. 9 in the 2600 block of Plainfield Road for DUI and improper lane usage. Kern was released and given a court date of Oct. 16 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
- Kenneth Peterson, 65, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Sept. 10 at Speedway, 10250 Lemont Road, for two counts of DUI. Peterson was processed, released and given a court date of Oct. 10 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

- An 11-year-old was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Sept. 10 at Walgreen's, 8300 Lemont Road, for retail theft. A speaker and two items from a previous retail theft at other business were recovered. The juvenile was released to his parents with a court date to be assigned.
