18th Annual Darien Dash Hosted by Darien Chamber of Commerce

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th annual Darien Dash on May 6. The race includes a 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run, and will be held at Darien Community Park.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. with a fun run for ages five and under. At 8:30 a.m., the 1 mile, 5K and 10K kick off. According to the race website, fun run awards will be given to the first 100 kids.

Trophies will be given to the top overall finishers (male and female) in each race. Medals will be given to the first, second and third place male and female in each age group in each race as well.

According to the race website, a portion of the proceeds will be awarded to one school in Darien with the most paid registered participants and The Darien Swim and Recreation Club.
