2 Darien Residents Face Domestic Battery Charges: Cops
One of the suspects was arrested in the parking lot at Chuck E. Cheese, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving domestic battery, DUI and porch piracy. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Domestic battery
- A 30-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 800 block of 79th Street was arrested about 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot at Chuck E. Cheese, 7409 Cass Ave., on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 65-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1500 block of 73rd Street was arrested about 10 a.m. Tuesday on a Darien domestic battery warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI

- A 35-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 1 a.m. Thursday on charges of DUI, transportation of open alcohol and speeding. Police said he was speeding 70 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 7600 block of Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 25-year-old Lombard man was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of open alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage. Police said the man was speeding 56 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 22-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, no valid driver's license and driving too fast to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Officers were called to a hit-and-run crash in the 500 block of Maple Lane. Shortly after, they were dispatched to the 6700 block of Richmond Avenue for a disabled car. The driver and occupants were seen transferring items from the disabled car to a silver sedan. Police later arrested the 22-year-old man, who was the registered owner of the disabled car.
Porch piracy
- A package was reported stolen Friday from the front porch of a house in the 8000 block of Wildwood Lane. The loss was estimated at $700.

- A 29-year-old Willowbrook man was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on a DuPage County warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Police came into contact with the man while responding to an unrelated matter in the 7400 block of Clarendon Hills Road.
