3 Darien Residents Arrested In Last Few Days

One was charged with domestic battery, while the others were accused of drunken driving.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, DUI and retail theft. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • Amanda Carbone, 31, of Darien, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of Country Lane on two counts of domestic battery. Police said they responded to a fight in progress. Carbone was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Sammy Papageorge, 43, of Darien, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic signal. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Israel Arredondo, 22, of Darien, was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday at 75th Street and Durham Road on charges of DUI, obstructing an officer, reckless driving, fleeing from an officer, speeding, using an unsafe tire and failing to carry a driver's license. Police said he was driving 53 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Gordon Marsh, 47, of Hodgkins, was arrested about 10 p.m. Sunday at Cass Avenue and Frontage Road on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving too fast for conditions. Police said they were responding to a crash. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Felony retail theft

  • Jacques Walton, 35, of Maywood, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on charges of felony retail theft and resisting an officer. He also was wanted on two warrants, one charging failure to appear in court in DuPage County and the other charging delivery of a controlled substance in Will County. Police said Walton placed unpaid items in bags and tried to leave. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Stephanie Boza, 32, of Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. March 27 at Northgate Road and Cass Avenue on multiple warrants. The warrants listed charges of identity theft in DuPage County, retail theft in Kane County and stolen property in Kansas City. Police said Boza was stopped for speeding 69 mph in a 40 mph zone. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
