3 People Burglarize Darien House: Cops

Dirt-stained footprints and a patio door ajar were discovered, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Burglary

  • Police were called about a burglary about 10 p.m. Saturday at a house in the 1000 block of Bob-O-Link Lane. The resident pointed to dirt-stained footprints found on the carpet in the living room. The sliding patio door was ajar. Video showed three suspects running from the house. The loss was estimated at $175.

DUI

  • A 27-year-old man from Downers Grove was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Woodward Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and transportation of open alcohol. An officer saw the man swerving in and out of his lane in the 7800 block of northbound Lemont Road. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.

Retail theft

  • A 41-year-old woman from Joliet was cited about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. She was seen by a loss prevention employee under-ringing items in the self-checkout aisle. The woman was released and given a date to appear in court.
