3 Suspects Arrested At Darien's Walmart: Cops

The men found different ways in their attempts to shoplift from the store, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest weekly blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the police reports:

  • Two Chicago men, a 28-year-old and a 43-year-old, were arrested about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on charges of retail theft. A security employee saw two suspects at the self-checkout aisle placing items into shopping bags without scanning them. The items were worth $309. The men were released and given dates to appear in court.
  • A 29-year-old man from Naperville was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said he was seen changing bar codes on items, then under-ringing them in the self-checkout aisle. He left in a white Jeep and headed west on 75th Street. Officers stopped him at Main and 75th streets. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
