$30K In Jewelry Stolen In Darien: Cops

The theft occurred over a span of a week, report says.

DARIEN, IL — More than $30,000 in jewelry was stolen in the spring from a Darien resident, police said.

Police were informed of the crime this week, but the theft was believed to have taken place between March 26 and April 2 in the 1800 block of Darien Club Drive. According to a police report, someone stole a number of jewelry items while the resident was moving.

The loss was said to be $30,629.
