77-Year-Old Darien Man Charged With Domestic Battery
In another case, a man is caught with meth in a Darien neighborhood, authorities said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- A 77-year-old Darien man who lives in the 2100 block of Cottage Lane was arrested about 6 p.m. Thursday on two domestic battery counts. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- About 9:30 p.m. Sept. 23, officers were called to the 7400 block of Richmond Avenue for a suspicious man. Officers found a white powdery substance on the man that officers believed to be methamphetamine. The 35-year-old LaSalle man was charged with meth possession. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Smoking marijuana near school
- About 3:30 a.m. Thursday, an officer saw a car parked in the corner of the parking lot at Lace Elementary School, 7414 Cass Ave. When approaching the car, the officer noticed a marijuana smell. A 24-year-old Romeoville man was cited on a charge of unlawful marijuana possession by a driver. He was released and given a court date.
