Adventist Hinsdale Hospital Ranks Among Best in Illinois

Adventist Hinsdale Hospital has earned a top spot on the U.S. News and World Report’s list of the best hospitals in Illinois.

Adventist Hinsdale earned the No. 19 spot in Illinois and the No. 16 place in the Chicago metro area, according to the report. It also achieved high performing rates in hip replacement and knee replacement.

Almost 5,000 hospitals were measured to calculate the best centers in 16 adult specialities, including cancer, cardiology, neurology and more, according to the publication. Only 137 U.S. hospitals performed well enough to be included in the national ranking.

Adventist Hinsdale Hospital is a general medical and surgical hospital in Hinsdale, IL, with 277 beds. It is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Survey data for the latest year available shows that 26,083 patients visited the hospital’s emergency room. The hospital had a total of 12,839 admissions. Its physicians performed 2,767 inpatient and 4,245 outpatient surgeries.
