About 9 p.m., the Darien-Woodridge Fire District was called, with firefighters seeing smoke coming from the attached garage, according to a district news release.

Crews brought the fire under control in about 15 minutes, the district said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it does not appear to be suspicious in nature, authorities said.

DuPage County's building and zoning department deemed the house uninhabitable, according to the news release. A damage estimate wasn't available.

Nearby fire departments helped the district.

No one was reported injured.
