More Flags Stolen In Darien: Police

A few flags were stolen around town in August, reports say.

DARIEN, IL — Two more flags were reported stolen earlier this month in Darien.

In the first incident, a flag for President Donald Trump's re-election campaign was removed and a flagpole was damaged in a Darien resident's yard in the 1400 block of 77th Street, according to a police report. The theft and damage were reported about 7:30 a.m. Oct. 14.

The second instance was a day later. An American flag was removed from a pole attached to a garage in the 800 block of 71st Street.

In late August, a "Back the Blue" flag and a blue line, pro-police flag were stolen from a house in the 7100 block of Walden Lane, according to a police report. The flag sign was removed from a front window, and the flag was stolen from near a tree, police said.

In mid-August, an American flag was removed from a front porch in the 7500 block of Country Lane Road and then was burned. A few days earlier, a flag was removed from a flagpole in the 7100 block of Summit Road.
