Convicted Felon In Darien Arrested After Disturbance: Cops

In another case, two men were charged in a restaurant disturbance, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police said they handled cases involving an armed convict, disorderly conduct at a restaurant, domestic battery, theft and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:

Armed convict

  • Darien police responded about 5 p.m. Saturday to the 1100 block of Hinswood Drive for a report of a battery. While speaking with the parties, officers discovered Catrina Dolen, 46, who lives in the 6400 block of Joliet Road in La Grange Park, had a Scott County, Tennessee, warrant charging unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. She was charged with one count of being a fugitive from justice and taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Restaurant disorderly conduct

  • A 22-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1400 block of Sequoia Lane and a 20-year-old Chicago man were charged about 10 p.m. Wednesday with disorderly conduct involving battery. Police were called to a disturbance at Culver's restaurant, 541 Plainfield Road. Both men were given court dates.

Domestic battery

  • A 41-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7700 block of Gail Avenue was arrested shortly before midnight Friday on a domestic battery charge. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 31-year-old Creve Coeur, Missouri woman, was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of 75th Street on two counts of domestic battery. Police said the victim had an injury to the face. The woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Theft

  • A man working at a house in the 7300 block of Bayberry Lane reported June 4 that an aluminum bender was stolen from his work truck. It was valued at $1,500.
  • A man told police Sunday that a Darien company towed his car. When he retrieved the vehicle, he said a knife and an electrical testing tool were missing. The items were valued at $400.

Car burglary

  • Someone entered a car in the 8600 block of Meadow Lane and stole a bottle of Versace men's cologne. The theft was reported Wednesday.

DUI

  • A 41-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8200 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended liense and speeding. He was given a court date and then released.
  • A 43-year-old Brookfield man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday near Lemont Road and Interstate 55 on charges of DUI, obstructing an officer, improper lane usage and failure to signal when changing lanes. He was given a court date and then released.

Retail theft

  • A 27-year-old Bolingbrook woman was charged about 6 p.m. Saturday with retail theft. The incident occurred at Speedway gas station, 8301 Lemont Road, police said.
