Battery At Darien Walmart: Police

DARIEN, IL — Police were called about 11 a.m. Saturday to Walmart, 2189 75th St., for a battery report. A woman brushed past a person in an aisle at the store. Then an argument ensued, with the woman hitting the victim in the eye with a can of food, according to a police report. The store video shows the suspect leaving the store soon after.

• Black paint was used to deface a westbound stop sign Thursday at 72nd Street and Leonard Drive. The damage was estimated at $40.
• A hit-and-run accident happened between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday in the 8500 block of Carriage Green Drive. Someone hit a mailbox with a car.
• Someone spray-painted the garage doors of a house overnight Saturday in the 8500 block of Thistlewood Court.
