Battery, Possession Of Fake ID: Darien Police Reports

Darien Police reports through April 4.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

March 29

  • A male suspect was seen loading two TVs into a u-haul vehicle at 5:10 a.m. and left Walmart, 2189 75th St., without paying. The total loss is $876.
  • David Dartey, 33, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. at AT&T, 2415 75th St., for felony unlawful possession of fraudulent identification card and attempted identification theft. Dartey attempted to use a fake ID to pick up phones. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

March 31

  • Leslie Mims, 25, of Willowbrook, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road for battery. Mims was processed and released and was issued a court date of May 1 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
  • A male offender in a maroon sedan was seen striking the victim's vehicle at 5:21 p.m. in the parking lot in the 2100 block of 75th Street and leaving the scene.

April 1

  • LaMonica Greyer, 27, of Downers Grove; and Renita Watson, 31, of Markham; were arrested at 2:44 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Greyer and Watson were processed and released with court date to be mailed.

April 2

  • A woman left her purse in the shopping cart in the 8300 block of Lemont Road. She returned to the store at 5:47 p.m. and it was gone. Video showed a male suspect removing the purse from the cart at 5:27 p.m. The estimated loss is $113.
