Beer Bottle Lit On Fire, Tree Damaged: Darien Police Reports
Darien Police reports through September 12.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Sept. 6
- A purse and cell phone were taken from a shopping cart at Home Depot, 2101 75th St., sometime between 4 and 4:45 p.m. The approximate loss is $175.

- A beer bottle was left on fire in the baseball field at Park Avenue and Shelly Court at 7:06 p.m. Darien Woodridge Fire Department responded and fire was extinguished. The grass had minor damage.
Sept. 11
- A resident observed a damaged trunk on a parkway tree at 7:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Shelly Court. It is unknown who did the damage.
- Two streaming devices were stolen at 4:48 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St. The offender proceeded to self-checkout lanes but items were not scanned. Security attempted to stop offender in the lot but they drove away. The total loss was $98.
