Big Party Upsets Darien Neighborhood: Mayor
Hundreds showed up at the event, but nothing illegal was going on, city says.

DARIEN, IL — A big party that drew hundreds of people upset residents in the Pinehurst neighborhood Saturday night, the mayor says.
At Monday's City Council meeting, Mayor Joseph Marchese said he received a call Saturday night from the president of the Pinehurst homeowners association. The president reported a party was taking place on Lakeview Drive, near Pinehurst Drive.
"He noted hundreds of people in the streets. He noted loud noise and rowdiness," Marchese said. "He said he was very concerned and that residents were very concerned."

Two police officers showed up in the neighborhood.
"They said there was nothing illegal going on and there was nothing they could do but monitor the situation," Marchese said. "It was a very uncomfortable situation for a lot of Pinehurst residents Saturday night."
