Happy New Year!

First thing first. Of course, it is. The second thing can't be first, right? So, Happy New Year!

Now, the second thing. Your overwhelming support for Hi Infidelity in 2011 with our two new members was very, very humbling. Thank you! At first, some wondered "How can you improve when you're great now?" Which, in itself, is very kind. But, after 14 months together, those who wondered have come forward and said, "Wow! Now I see! What a difference! The energy, the chemistry, those harmonies!" And, we are so appreciative of the comments, the honesty, the loyalty and that you have been spreading the word about us.

So, what's in store for 2012? Well, we hope to continue to improve in every way and separate ourselves from the other local cover bands who cover the same genre or style of music and songs. Of course, we're dedicated to playing the songs you all are accustomed to hearing. But, night in and night out, if we're adding songs to our reportoire, that means there has to be some subtraction, which makes putting together a set list very challenging. You can't make everyone happy, but we try like hell!

In order to satisfy more people, we're going to try to put together a dozen or so acoustic shows this year. The goal is to play entirely different songs (although, more than likely, some of the same bands) and possibly make the acoustic shows "theme" related. For instance, an acoustic show might consist of a set of songs from two specific artists only, or all ballads, or songs that start with S. Well, maybe not the last one, but you get the idea.

We're also in the early stages of an all-original CD for a summer release, and after that, hope to go right into production on a Christmas CD for November! Busy, busy, busy!

At any rate, our goals for 2012 are to keep changing it up enough to make your trips to shows more frequent, to keep our own interests and attention picqued, and to keep evolving and provide entertainment to those who attend.

I think we can manage that. Actually, I know we will!
