Burglary, Retail Theft: Darien Arrests

Darien Police reports through Jan. 30.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Jan. 26

  • Someone entered a residence in the 1500 block of Darien Lake Drive sometime between 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26. The front door was damaged and miscellaneous items were stolen. Value of items is $3,330.
  • Wendy Flores, 24, of Chicago, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., and charged with retail theft. Flores was processed, released and advised a court date for Downers Grove Traffic Court would be mailed.

  • Amber McGinty, 34, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 6:59 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., and charged with retail theft. McGinty was processed, released and advised a court date for Downers Grove Traffic Court would be mailed.
  • William Woodruff, 23, of Crestwood, was arrested at 3:31 p.m. at Route 83 and Plainfield Road and charged with driving while license suspended, suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Woodruff was processed, released and given a court date of March 7 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

Jan. 28

  • David Marano, 48, of the 8400 block of Chicory Court, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., and charged with retail theft. Marano was processed, released and advised a court date for Downers Grove Traffic Court would be mailed.
