Cable Box Stolen During Estate Sale: Darien Police Blotter
Several car burglaries have been reported in recent days, including one in which a window was broken on a van outside Starbucks.

The following information is from the Darien Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Warrant Service
At 3:45 p.m. on Sept 18 officers responded to a warrant service in the 8400 block of Chicory Court. David Marano, 49, of the 8400 block of Chicory Court was arrested on two DuPage County warrants.

Residential Burglary
At 6:25 p.m. on Sept. 20 officers responded to a residential burglary in the 8500 block of Evergreen Lane. The homeowner advised during an estate sale between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. unknown offender(s) removed a Comcast cable box. The approximate loss was $10.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle
At 7:25 a.m. on Sept. 21 officers were dispatched to the 7600 block of Warwick Avenue for a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim advised sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:25 a.m. unknown offender(s) removed a Samsung car phone charger and $40 in change from the unlocked vehicle. The approximate loss was $100.
At 2:14 p.m. on Sept. 21 officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 79th Street for a burglary to a motor vehicle. The vehicle owner advised sometime between 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. unknown
offender(s) removed $20 in change, a makeup bag and $300 worth of makeup from the unlocked
vehicle that was parked on the driveway.
At 10:31 a.m. on Sept. 21 an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of 83rd Street to investigate a theft. The victim advised sometime between Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 8 a.m. unknown offender(s) removed a tire and rim from the vehicle parked in the lot. The approximate loss was $300. The tire was later located in the 2600 block of 83rd Street.
At 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 22 an officer was dispatched to Starbucks, 7517 Cass Ave. to investigate a burglary from motor vehicle. The victim advised sometime between 6:55 p.m. and 7 p.m. unknown offenders removed miscellaneous phone accessories from the unattended van by breaking a window. The approximate loss is $4,515.96.
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts
At 3:22 p.m. on Sept. 21 an officer was dispatched to 2600 block of 83rd Street for a theft of motor vehicle parts. The victim advised sometime between Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 6 a.m. unknown offender(s) removed a tire and rim from a vehicle parked in a lot. The approximate loss was $300.
