Active Senior Expo, an event dedicated to informing, educating, and entertaining senior citizens, will be held on Wednesday, August 6, at the Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road in Darien, Illinois. Show hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. CDT.
Active Senior Expo features hundreds of products and services designed specifically for seniors. Offerings include health care, retirement communities, assisted living, financial services, insurance, legal services, estate planning, home care, consumer products, government programs, and more.
Special attractions include free seminars on Medicare (BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois), energy savings (Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program), and income planning (Key Retirement Solutions). Also featured are free health screenings and door prize drawings. Live entertainment will be presented at 11:30 a.m. CDT.
