American Wind Band presents our annual Holiday Melodies Concert on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hinsdale South High School auditorium, 7401 Clarendon Hills Road, Darien, IL 60561 with free admission. Donations are gladly accepted at the concert to help with expenses. Fantastic, appreciative comments were received after our fall concert “Come to the Fair.” Come hear our wonderful community band for yourself!
Marvelous holiday carols, seasonal classics and festive favorites ideal for the entire family will be performed. Our directors have chosen selections that feature familiar and new Christmas songs. Some to be performed include “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, “Hanukkah, Festival of Lights,” “Carols of the Season” and the ever popular “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.
American Wind Band, an adult community band based in Downers Grove, was created to encourage the understanding and appreciation of concert band literature through performance. New members are always welcome at band rehearsals (no audition required) on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove.
