Sprouts families are invited to gather outdoors on 8/26 (6:00pm -7:00pm) in the "Sprouts Learning Garden," located at St. John Lutheran Church (address above) for hands-on flower lessons. Learn how to grow beautiful flowers; view &amp; pick some blooming flowers &amp; be educated on preserving cut flowers. Also, acquire basic flower arranging skills and make a flower bouquet to take home! All are welcome to attend. A responsible adult must accompany children. Don't miss out on the fun - join us!&nbsp;

Concerts will take place at Carriage Greens Country Club (North Parking Lot) on the last Thursday of June, July, and August. The series kicks off on June 25th with the band Fuze, continues on July 30th with the fun and interactive group Dick Diamond and the Dusters, and concludes on August 27th with Heart to Heartbreaker, performing music by Heart, Pat Benatar, and Cher.

The Darien Woman's Club is a vibrant organization dedicated to community service, philanthropy, education, and social connection. Members enjoy engaging monthly programs, volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and meaningful friendships while supporting local causes.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at Alpine Banquets from September through May. Whether you are new to the area, recently retired, an empty nester, or simply looking to become more involved in your community, the Darien Woman's Club offers something for everyone.
Guests are always welcome to attend a meeting and learn more about the club. Come discover how you can make a positive impact while building lasting friendships.

An A Capella, 4-Part Harmony Music Production for All AgesFans of high-energy a Capella vocal music will be treated to some of the most talented groups in the Midwest on September 12 as the Chorus of DuPage (COD) hosts "Melodies and Memories” -- a show designed to celebrate classic and contemporary tunes and showcase award-winning barbershop groups for Chicago-area audiences. 

At 3 pm at Naperville's Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Road, several award-winning vocal groups will perform with the popular 30-voice Chorus of DuPage, including Vocal Spectrum -- former Barbershop Harmony Society international quartet champion. Also appearing on the show will be Stiletto Quartet -- the Sing United Midwest Harmony 2026 Quartet Champions, as well as two popular Chicago area quartets, the Upside Downers and Stratosphere.
 "We hope to delight area music lovers with a program that features a diverse mix of top talent, and a musical program theme that showcases music we all know and love," said John Morrison, COD chorus manager. The Naperville-based COD chorus, with members from throughout the Chicago area, will perform hits such as Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,
Yesterday, Daydream, and You’re Nobody ‘til Somebody Loves You
– and other favorites, performed in classic 4-part barbershop harmony style.
 The guest quartets will perform separately, and join the host chorus in a mass chorus number to conclude the show. 
 Tickets are available online or by phone at $20
for adults and $15 for students. Children under 5 are free, if accompanied by an adult. There is ample free parking at the church.

Help break the stigma associated with mental illness at the 2026 NAMIWalks (Runs) 5K and 1 Mile Color Run. Before, between, or after the runs, visit the Kids Zone and Health Fair.

The Morton Arboretum

Twenty-five years after the attacks of September 11th, Invisible Wounds Foundation marks that anniversary with our 2026 Evening of Honor, featuring special guest Martha Raddatz, ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent and co-anchor of This Week, and author of the New York Times bestseller The Hero Next Door, recognizing the courage, patriotism, and commitment of those who have served our country.
Raddatz will interview Dr. Rocco Armonda, an internationally renowned neurosurgeon, retired US Army colonel, and member of IWF's Medical Scientific Advisory Council, whose work is also featured in The Hero Next Door. They'll discuss his experience treating military and civilian victims of traumatic brain injury in Ukraine and other conflicts. Emmy-winning ABC 7 Chicago anchor Mark Rivera, who has interviewed Raddatz on air, serves as our master of ceremonies.
The evening begins with a 5:00pm cocktail reception at the Morton Arboretum's open-air Firefly Pavilion, followed by dinner and program at 6:30. We'll share inspiring stories of patriotism and purpose, and the critical work Invisible Wounds Foundation is pursuing to help our nation's warfighters address the invisible wounds of war. Every guest will receive a signed copy of Raddatz's book, The Hero Next Door.
