Car Burglaries, DUIs: Darien Cops
Three cars were broken into in the last few days. In one case, a wallet was stolen from an unlocked car, police said.

DARIEN, IL — In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving car burglaries, DUIs, a hit-and-run crash, a broken car window and warrants. Here is the information from the latest Darien police reports:
Car burglaries
- An unlocked car was burglarized overnight Feb. 15 in the 9300 block of Waterfall Glen Boulevard. A wallet was stolen. The loss was $70.
- A car was burglarized between midnight Feb. 16 and 1 p.m. Feb 22 in the 2300 block of Oakmont Way. A number of items were stolen. The loss was estimated at $1,650.
- A car was burglarized between midnight and 8 a.m. Feb. 16 in the 2300 block of Oakmont Way. A garage door opener and other items were stolen. The loss was estimated at $60.
DUIs

- Howard Willis III, 22, of Lombard, was arrested shortly after midnight Friday near Route 83 on charges of DUI and improper stopping or parking where prohibited. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Rafael Ballardin, 32, of Burr Ridge, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of 75th St. on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, improper stopping or parking on the roadway, and disobeying a traffic signal. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Hit-and-run crash
- A hit-and-run crash took place between 4 p.m. Feb. 15 and 1 a.m. Feb. 16 in the Hinsdale South High School parking lot, 7401 Clarendon Hills Road. A parked car was struck.

- The front driver's side window of a car was damaged between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday in the 6700 block of High Road. The damage was estimated at $300.
Warrants
- Rella Ricks, 34, of Westmont, was arrested about 8 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of 67th Street on a DuPage County warrant and a charge of speeding. He was clocked going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Deion Jones, 22, of Darien, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Friday on Oldfield Road on a state police warrant and charges of driving with a revoked license and disobeying a stop sign. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
