Car Burglaries, License Suspended: Darien Police Reports

Darien Police reports through Aug. 1.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

July 25

  • Oleh Rochachev, 24, of Chicago, was arrested at 1:23 p.m. in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue for driving while license suspended and speeding. Rochachev was processed and given a court date of Aug. 30 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

July 26

  • John Eyer, 60, of Westmont, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. at Clarendon Hills Road and 67th Street for no driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Eyer was processed and given a court date of Aug. 16 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

July 27

  • An officer located on patrol at 12:21 a.m. in the 7600 block of Sussex Creek Drive located a car reported stolen from Chicago Police Department. The plate of the vehicle was reported stolen out of Dolton.

July 28

  • Jason Tshulos, 20, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 11:26 p.m. at Plainfield and Lemont roads for no valid driver's license and driving with one headlight. Tshulos was processed and given a court date of Aug. 23 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

July 29

  • Two males were seen between 2:20 and 3:30 a.m. from a home security camera trying the handles of cars on the driveway in the 1400 block of Sequoia Lane. The car was locked and no items were reported missing.
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 7800 block of Darien Lake Drive at 4:13 a.m. The glove box was open and paperwork was scattered, but nothing was missing.
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 7800 block of Darien Lake Drive sometime between 10 p.m. July 28 and 5:31 a.m. July 29. Miscellaneous items were stolen and the total loss is $2,155.
