Car Burglarized At Darien Day Care Center
A purse was taken out of an unlocked vehicle parked at Goddard School in Darien.

DARIEN, IL — Darien Police responded Friday morning to a car burglary at Goddard School. Police said the burglary to motor vehicle occurred at 8:40 a.m. Friday at the school, at 8350 Lemont Road. A silver Nissan SUV was seen backing into a parking stall next to the victim's vehicle.
According to a release, the passenger of the Nissan exited the car and entered the unlocked victim's vehicle and removed a purse, they then left the parking lot in an unknown direction. Police said there is no other information available on the offender(s) or offending vehicle.
Patch reported earlier this year when a car burglary happened at the same location in March. In that instance, the car was locked, and a window was smashed.

According to the release, the Willowbrook Police Department is also investigating a similar incident this morning at their Gower West School location on Clarendon Hills Road. The Darien Police Department reminds you to lock your vehicle whenever you are away from the vehicle. Also, take valuables with you or hide them within the inside of the passenger compartment or the trunk of the vehicle.
