Car Burglary, DUI: Darien Cops

Items worth $1,000 were stolen from a car in a Darien neighborhood, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their weekly blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the complaints:

Car burglary

  • A car was burglarized between Friday and Monday in a driveway in the 100 block of Iris Road. A phone and a lunchbox were stolen from the car. The loss was estimated at $1,000.

DUI

  • A 29-year-old Woodridge woman was arrested about 3 a.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, speeding, failure to signal when required and driving an uninsured car. Police said the woman was speeding 59 mph in a 45 mph zone on 75th Street. The woman was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrants

  • A 27-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of 75th Street on two DuPage County warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of aggravated DUI and driving an uninsured car, police said. An officer stopped the man because his car had an expired registration sticker. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
