Car Burglary, DUI: Darien Police Reports

Darien Police reports through Oct. 24.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Oct. 18

  • Brandon McClain, 33, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9:04 p.m. for driving while license suspended and driving with expired plates. McClain was processed and released with a court date of Nov. 8 at Downers Grove Field Court.

  • Jerimiah Gregory, 18, of the 1000 block of Ripple Ridge Road, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. at Walmart, 2189 75th St., for retail theft. Gregory was processed, released and advised a court date for Downers Grove Traffic Court would be mailed.

Oct. 21

  • A passenger window was broken out on a locked car and a purse was removed sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road. The approximate loss was $2,375.
  • Vladas Zaicova, 68, of Willowbrook, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. in the 8100 block of Cass for DUI-alcohol, driving the wrong way and improper lane use. Zaicova was processed, released and given a court date of Nov. 20 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

  • The front glass door was shattered and several items were removed from Sprint, 7511 Lemont Road, at 1:30 a.m. Total loss is unknown.

Oct. 23

  • Thomas Tylka, 47, of the 8400 block of Creekside Lane, was arrested at 4:42 p.m. in the 8400 block of Creekside for two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
