Car Stolen, Residential Burglary: Darien Police Reports

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

February 21

• An unlocked car was stolen from a driveway in the 7300 block of Bunker Road between 6 and 6:05 a.m. The car was found by Cook County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 21 at 1080 64th Street in Lyons Township.
• A stolen car was recovered at 7 a.m. in the 7300 block of Bunker Road. The officer ran the plate which came back stolen out of Bolingbrook. Bolingbrook Police Department was notified, and the vehicle was towed.

February 22

• Argenis Mendez Sanchez, 31, of Chicago, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. at Lemont Road and I-55 for no valid driver's license and no rear registration light. Mendez Sanchez was processed and released with a court date of March 15 at Downers Grove Traffic Court

February 23

• Garson Babb, 36, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 4:54 p.m. at Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road for driving while license suspended and expired registration. Babb was processed and released with a court date of March 15 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.
• Randle Marks, 30, of Westmont, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue for driving while license suspended and no rear registration light. Marks was processed and released with a court date of March 22 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

February 24

• Evan Bartl, 25, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. at his residence for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license suspended and improper lane use after a hit and run at 75th Street and Cass Avenue. Bartl was processed and released with a court date of March 15 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

February 25

• Ventress Exton, 35, of the 7600 block of Brookhaven, was arrested at 6:12 a.m. in the 7600 block of Brookhaven for domestic battery. Exton was charged with two counts of domestic battery and taken to DuPage County Jail.
• Someone entered a home in the 3000 block of Hillside Lane sometime between 9 p.m. Feb. 24 and 7 a.m. Feb. 25 and stole a purse, money and a laptop.
