Car Theft, DUI: Darien Police
A car in a store's fire lane is stolen, but later recovered, a police report says.

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its later police blotter. Here is information from the reports:
- Johnny Perez, 24, of West Chicago, was cited shortly before midnight Sept. 10 at Lemont Road and 97th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and making an improper U-turn. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Police were called shortly after 8 p.m. Sept. 10 to Darien Tobacco, 7516 Cass Ave., because of a car theft. A 2008 Dodge Avenger was parked in the fire lane of the store. A review of video footage shows a man getting out of a sedan driven by another man. The man then got into the Dodge Avenger and drove away. The car was recovered behind the Brookhaven shopping plaza.
- Christopher Carrillo-Urquizo, 21, of Countryside, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 400 block of Plainfield Road on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
