Celebrate Olympians with Indian Prairie Library

Hear From the Niece of an Olympic Hero.

Community members that love stories about underdogs and beating the odds won’t want to miss out on Wilma Rudolph & Andy Stanfield: Olympic Heroes on Tuesday, July 27, 7 p.m. This program is available via Zoom and is open to all ages. Registration is required to get the Zoom invite.

Internationally known storyteller, Linda Gorham, tells the story of two Black athletes who beat the odds and became Olympic gold medal winners.

Wilma Rudolph was one of 22 children in her family; they said she would never be able to walk; yet, she became the first American woman to win three gold medals.
