Change, Pocket Knife Stolen Out Of Vehicle: Darien Blotter
Darien Police reports through Aug. 27.
The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
No Driver's License
- Mahmoud Hamden, 21, Westmont, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 27 for no driver's license, improper use of registration and operating uninsured motor vehicle. Hamden was given a mandatory court date in Downers Grove.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle

- An unlocked vehicle was entered sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 26 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 1800 block of Darien Club Drive. Nothing appeared to be missing.
- An unlocked vehicle was entered and a pocket knife and change were stolen sometime between 1 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 1200 block of Willow Lane. The approximate loss was $35.
