DARIEN, IL — If you know what it's like to sustain yourself on fast food and microwave meals and you're ready to branch out, you're the perfect person to attend a special cooking class at Indian Prairie Public Library. The Feb. 22 event, hosted by Chef Mary Gail Bennett, is "for 20-30 somethings only" and will share basic techniques for creating a delicious meal from scratch.

At Keys To Cooking Success, Bennett will share recipes and tips, along with basic techniques in the two-hour course, which begins at 7 p.m. in the library's second-floor meeting room. Be sure to come hungry because food samples will be provided, along with take-home recipes.

Keys To Cooking Success is "perfect for adults wanting to move beyond ramen," the event page states.
