Christmas Lights Vandalized In Darien

DARIEN, IL — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who vandalized a home's Christmas decorations. The incident took place in the 1000 block of Park Crest Dr. on Dec. 8, according to a police summary.

The victim called police just before 8 p.m. to report that the Christmas lights on their home had been damaged. Police say it appeared as though someone had cut the wires of the holiday lights, which were valued at approximately $20.

Similar reports of wires to Christmas decorations being cut have been reported in nearby suburbs. Police in Downers Grove responded to multiple residents regarding stolen Christmas decorations during a 24-hour period.
