CNN Reporter To Visit Darien Schools
He grew up in Darien and attended local schools, including Hinsdale South.
DARIEN, IL – A CNN reporter who grew up in Darien plans to visit two local schools next week, an official said.
Manu Raju, who covers Congress for the news network, is set to drop by Lace Elementary School and Eisenhower Junior High on Monday. He plans to speak for a half hour at each school, followed by 15-minute question-and-answer sessions.
The information came from Darien Alderman Joe Kenny. He said the Darien School District 61 Foundation asked him to announce the information at this week's City Council meeting.

According to the foundation's website, Raju attended District 61 schools, graduating from Eisenhower in 1994. He went on to Hinsdale South High School and then got a degree from the University of Wisconsin.
He is the chief congressional correspondent for CNN.
