This week the National Education Association celebrates Read Across America Day! This nationwide literacy event is celebrated each year on or around March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss, the author who epitomizes the joy of reading! In celebration of Read Across America Day, the Concord preschool classes paired up with Ms. Anya Schlottman’s second grade class and enjoyed hearing the second graders read a variety of Dr. Seuss books to their younger counterparts. This activity supports Concord’s commitment to building literacy throughout the school year.
