Darien Ahead Of Neighbors In DUI Arrests
Five officers were noted for making the most local drunken driving arrests.
DARIEN, IL – Darien's officers are making more drunken-driving arrests than those in neighboring towns, a new study shows.
In 2023, Darien officers recorded 87 DUI arrests, putting it 40th among Illinois towns, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists. That works out to 2.6 arrests per officer. Darien reported having 34 officers last year.
The top five Darien officers for DUI arrests in 2023 were Paulina Noga (15), Nelson Servin (14), Tony Hruby (13), Maciej Carchro (12) and Nelson Servin (11), according to the alliance.
