Darien Animal Cruelty Suspect Arrested: Cops

In another case, a man was charged with trespassing at a local bar, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their weekly blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Animal cruelty

  • A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in Westmont on several warrants, including one charging animal cruelty in Darien. For the warrants outside Darien, the man was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Patch has filed a public records request for the animal cruelty report.

Trespassing at bar

  • A large group of people was asked to leave Q Bar, 8109 Cass Ave, about 12:35 a.m. Saturday. The crowd dispersed, but a 34-year-old Willowbrook man refused. He was charged with trespassing. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Domestic battery

  • A 60-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 8400 block of Captons Lane was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at her house on a domestic battery charge. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 32-year-old Westmont woman was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Westmont on a domestic battery warrant from Darien. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
