Darien Approves 2018 Street Maintenance Program
Construction will start in early May, and the city hopes to improve the streets with little inconvenience to residents.

DARIEN, IL — 5.5 miles of roads will be resurfaced during this year's Street Resurfacing Program in Darien. The mayor and the city council recently approved the 2018 Street Resurfacing Program, according to the city newsletter. Construction will start in early May, and the city hopes to improve the streets with little inconvenience to residents.
Streets impacted by the resurfacing program are:
- 71st Avenue, from Washington to Fairview. Last rehab was in 2005.
- Abbey, from Cambridge to a dead end. Last rehab was in 2001.
- Bentley Avenue, from 67th to the North Limit. Last rehab was in 2003.
- Bentley Avenue, from 67th to Chestnut. Last rehab was in 2000.
- Brookhaven Avenue, from North Warwick to South Warwick. Last rehab was in 2005.
- Chippewa Lane, from Farmingdale to Sawyer. Last rehab was in 2007.
- Crest Road, from Plainfield to Janet. Last rehab was in 2004.
- Farmingdale Drive, from 75th to 79th. Last rehab was in 2006.
- Grandview Lane, from 83rd to Dover. Last rehab was in 2003.
- High Point Circle, from South Frontage to Limit. Last rehab was in 2003.
- Hudson Street, from 71st to Limit. Last rehab was in 2000.
- Richmond Avenue, from 67th to Seminole. Last rehab was in 2006.
- Seminole Drive, from Plainfield to Hinsbrook. Last rehab was in 2005.
- Spring Green Drive, from Parkview to Beller. Last rehab was in 2003.
- Tennessee, from 67th to Chestnut. Last rehab was in 2000.
- Willow Lane, from Semionle to Belair. Last rehab was in 2003.
