DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Officer almost hit

  • An officer was at a traffic stop about 11 p.m. last Thursday on Cass Avenue near Interstate 55. When he got out of his vehicle, the driver of a car approaching I-55 failed to slow down or move away from the squad car. The car was close enough to cause the officer to step back and partially close the door to avoid being struck. The officer pulled over the driver, a 27-year-old Bolingbrook woman, who had a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant charging failure to appear in court. The suspect was cited on charges of failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving an uninsured car and having no valid driver's license.
