Darien DUI Suspect Had Popped Tires, Car Damage: Cops

DARIEN, IL – Darien police arrested three men recently on DUI charges. Here is information from the reports:

• A 67-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of DUI, illegal stopping where prohibited, possession of open alcohol by a driver and use of unsafe tires. Officers were called to 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road, where the man's car sustained heavy front-end damage and two popped tires. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
• Douglas Jones, 66, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 9 p.m. Tuesday on charges of aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage by crossing the lane boundary unsafely. Police said Jones was seen pulling into Citgo gas station, 402 Plainfield Road, without signaling. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
• A 63-year-old Woodridge man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. An officer saw the man cross the white lane line in the 1300 block of westbound Plainfield Road. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
