Darien Garden Club, Indian Prairie Library Celebrate Garden Week

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Garden Club and the Indian Prairie Public Library will celebrate National Garden week in June. The library will hold a presentation, "Pollinator Friendly Plant Communities at Lurie Garden" on Monday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m.

According to the city newsletter, Laura Ekasetya, director and head horticulturist of Lurie Garden, will give the presentation. She will discuss the ecological impact of plants, especially native insect association.

The Darien Garden Club will also have a Plant and Gardening Items Sale at the Darien Park District Outdoor Flea Market on June 9 at the Darien Sportsplex from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
