Darien Historical Society Hosts Summertime Event

DARIEN, IL — The Darien Historical Society will host a summertime event on the grounds of the Old Lace Schoolhouse and Museum on June 20. You can come out to the schoolhouse at 5:30 p.m. and bring a blanket of a chair.

According to the historical society, there will be a story time from the Indian Prairie Public Library from 5:30 to 6 p.m.; and music from Ross and Glenn Failla.

If you donate $3 to the historical society, you can get a dish of frozen custard from Culver's and lemonade and cookies. A $5 donation will get you custard, lemonade, cookies and a grilled hot dog.
