Darien Holds First Annual National Night Out

DARIEN, IL —Darien will hold its first annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 1. According to the city newsletter, the event will be held at Darien Community Park from 7 to 10 p.m. According to the newsletter, National Night Out is a nationwide event that helps promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer.

The event will feature a touch-a-truck event with the Darien Police Department, Darien Municipal Services, Fire Departments, and surrounding law enforcement agencies. There will also be a police canine demonstration, a SWAT demonstration, and other family-friendly events and activities.
