Darien Jewel-Osco hosts event for Operation Support Our Troops

Thanks to the generosity of our customers and the support of many wonderful volunteers, on March 29th & 30th, the Darien Jewel-Osco store was able to collect almost $1500.00 in donations for Operation Support Our Troops (OSOT).  We were able to send 15 large banana boxes full of requested supplies to OSOT, including almost $500.00 worth of beef jerky.  
We would like to thank the following volunteers: Michael Anderson, Shenille Barranco, Brenna Budaitis and Ashley Yong from Hinsdale South High School;  Joe Dalpino, & Bill and Martha Strening from OSOT, and last but not least, the volunteers from the Darien VFW #2838 - Rodney Avery, Dennis Bolsega, Frank Brodzinski, Bradley Drake, Matt Goodwin, William Marchetti, David Mejdrich, Edward Oldis, John Oldis, Thomas Rodak, Annivar Salgado & Jim Wisniowicz.  We thank the VFW members for their support for the second year in a row, making this event a huge success!
