Darien Lions 40th Food Basket Program

The Darien Lions Club is planning its 40th annual Food Basket Program this holiday season. Last year with the support of several neighborhood businesses, organizations and schools we were able to provide hams, turkeys, dairy products, produce and canned food to more than 200 families in the Darien and surrounding communities. In addition the Darien Park District will again provide age appropriate gifts for distribution to Darien children. This year, due to our current economy, the need may be even greater.

This Food Basket Program is a targeted activity of the Darien Lions Club Foundation which is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization TIN #36-4260549.

Over the years individuals and businesses have graciously contributed to this event. The cost to support a local family is $75.00 which will provide them with a weeks worth of food. Checks can be made payable to the Darien Lions Club Foundation and mailed to 1702 Plainfield Rd, Darien IL 60561. We would appreciate your commitment by December 1, 2014 as our distribution will take place on Friday December 21st and Saturday December 22nd.
