Darien Man Accused Of Retail Theft

He was arrested four days after the incident, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

  • A 47-year-old man who lives in the 1900 block of Center Circle in Darien was arrested on a charge of retail theft. Police said he stole items worth about $100 about 8 p.m. Saturday. Officers were called to the store four days later. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 43-year-old Downers Grove woman was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said she paid for some items and under-rang others at the self-checkout counter. The stolen items were valued at $233, police said. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
